The refurbishmnet of the National Museum seeks to reimagine an important civic building in the heart of Gaborone. A newly located entrance and double height facade instantly transform the building and give it the civic presence it deserves. In addition to the facade revamp, the refurbishment adds an additional 7 gallery spaces on the first floor, a new reception and waiting area, a curio shop and library / small resource centre. The existing restaurant is also renovated to spill out to the courtyard and Queens Road, connecting the Museum with the fabric of the city, and inviting people in.
